One way to solve limiting and excess reactants problems ....
Determining the Excess/Limiting Reactant
1. Change grams to moles for both reactants.
2. Convert moles of 1 reactant into moles of the other reactant needed. Determine which reactant is limiting and which one is in excess.
3. Use the limiting factor to determine grams of product predicted.
